District B, Joshua Douthit – Chairman of the Board
Josh was first elected in 2022 as the board representative for District B which encompasses the precincts of Douglas 4, 5, 6, and 7. Born and raised in Effingham County, Josh currently resides in the city of Effingham.
Josh’s mission as an elected County Board member is to make Effingham County a leader in downstate Illinois with ensuring public safety, furthering economic development, expanding education, and increasing employment opportunities. He places great emphasis on his faith, family, and community and is honored to lead the board in serving each elected official and furthering the conservative values of Effingham County.
