Animal Control
We are a no kill animal control facility and shelter. Our hope is to adopt as many pets as possible, but also to reunite as many lost animals with their owners.
Adoption Policy & Fees
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please call 217-347-5695, stop by our shelter at 701 E. Eiche Street, Effingham, IL 62401, or email us at animalcontrol@effinghamcountyil.gov to request an adoption application.
Adoption Fees
Dogs – $130 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, and rabies shot)
Cats – $65 (spay/neuter, microchip and rabies shot)
