Effingham County Public Transportation looking for drivers

Effingham County Public Transportation works hand in hand with CEFS Economic Opportunity Corporation in providing the county with access to transportation.  For many years, CEFS has assisted in providing transportation services to Effingham County residents through demand response services and have just recently incorporated a new deviated route service called ETRAX in which buses have a regular route of stops including:

  • HSHS St. Anthony’s Health Center
  • Brookstone Estates
  • Sarah Bush Bonutti Clinic
  • TA Travel Center
  • Walmart
  • VA Clinic
  • Lake Pointe Apartments
  • Save-a-Lot
  • Kirby’s IGA
  • Effingham County Building Parking Lot
  • HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital

Since 2024, Effingham County has participated in a free transportation program for county residents who are senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and/or veterans.

With Effingham County’s efforts to promote transportation for its residents, there is an increased need for drivers.  CEFS provides a comprehensive salary and benefits package for their drivers.  Interested parties can visit the CEFS Employment webpage https://www.cefseoc.org/employment to find more information and complete an application.
