Mailing of 2023 Payable 2024 Real Estate Tax Bills
The 2023 real estate tax bills due and payable in 2024 are being mailed today, August 2, 2024 by the Effingham County Treasurer’s Office. The due date for the first installment is Friday, September 6th and the second installment is Friday, October 18th.
Payments options are as follows:
• Paid at most of the banks in the county
• Payment mailed to the Treasurer’s Office
• Paid in person at the Treasurer’s Office
• Paid online at effinghamcountyil.gov/treasurer. A credit card convenience fee will be added for payments made with a credit or debit card.
Effingham County Treasurer’s Office hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
The total number of bills mailed is 23,045.
The total amount of taxes extended for all taxing districts for the 2023 payable in 2024 tax year is $68,469,670.22.
